THE CHURCH PER HAUERWAS: first stab at it

I'm working on a ~4500 word research paper dealing with the ecclesiology of Stanley Hauerwas. So, if anyone has read him, I'd sure appreciate critique of my summary sentence:

The church is the community of God, formed by the story of God and shaped by central and necessary habits of worship to be an/the alternative culture and ethic, in order to show the world that it is the world and to reveal glimpses of the Kingdom of God in Christ.
Any input is greatly appreciated

NOTE: This is a rumination ("1. The act of pondering; meditation. 2. The act or process of chewing cud." American Heritage Dictionary) in search of synergy ("1. The interaction of two or more agents or forces so that their combined effect is greater than the sum of their individual effects.")
