Question to Consider from my reading of Newbigin's The Open Secret

If the Trinity is best understood through the narratives of salvation history and if the ecclesia exists only in relation to the Trinity, then what do the Trinity-revealing narratives of salvation history tell us about the identity and function of the ecclesia of God?

    I think Frank Viola's "God's Ultimate Passion" gives a gripping exposition of the answer to your question:

    - the Father loves the Son and His passion is to find a bride for the Son
    - just as the bride of Adam was created from flesh of his flesh and bone of his bone
    - so the bride of Christ, the ecclesia, is created from spirit of His Spirit

    Does this look like the components of a theologically OK answer?
